MPM: January 18

meal plan monday button

A theoretical question for you. . . If someone were to buy a carton of whipping cream say, in September, and then “lose” it in the fridge for a few months, do ya think it would turn into sour cream???  Theoretically, of course.

(I’m not sure I want to open it!)

Anyway, last week’s volcanoes were a big hit!!  We’ll definitely have that one again.  And here’s what is on tap for this week:

Monday:  Spinach and mashed potato casserole (adapted from this recipe) with hamburgers. (Carried over from last week.)

Tuesday:  Baked chicken (some to eat tonight, and some to reserve for later in the week; I’ll also boil the bones to make broth for Sunday’s soup.)  We’ll have a rice or pasta side dish and veggies with it.

Wednesday:  Dinner @ church.

Thursday:  Chicken tetrazzini and random veggies.

Friday:   Kids’ night:  Breakfast for dinner:  Tea biscuits and eggs and fruit.

Saturday:  Out and about.

Sunday:  Corn chowder and biscuits.

ha ha – I had spinach the other night and I made my kids try it – my son threw up on the table! so gross!

We’ve actually had that happen before too. 😦 One of the boys is very particular about the look and texture of food.
