And The Hits Just Keep On Comin’

After a night where the smallest Moose calf kept waking up, Tuesday dawned dreary.  The Bull called to share the news that our cat, Boots (who is an outside cat) had a broken leg.

So he loaded up the cat and took him to the vet.  After x-rays the vet determined that Boots’ rear femur (upper leg) was broken in two places and there were lots of fragments.  Possibly could be repaired by a specialist, but it was doubtful that the leg would heal properly.  He recommended amputation.  My stomach just flips talking about this.

$650 later, we now have a three legged cat.

In a few minutes I’ll let Boots out of his kennel to roam around the laundry room, thus allowing him to stretch and keeping the dreaded cat hair from infiltrating everything in the house.

And did I mention that two of three calves are coughing and the littlest one has decided screaming is more fun than going to bed at night?

Please, LORD, can we have a rest?  Maybe push “Pause” on life so we can catch our breaths and deal with one sad event at a time?  Can we get some good news please?!

I need to do a Thankful Thursday posting today.  Desperately.  I just can’t do it right now.

    Oh the poor puss cat!

And whoa! What a lot of money to fix it! You must love that cat.

Sorry to hear the children are sick, and the youngest is playing up at bedtime. They can sense when parents are stressed and it can make them feel unsettled. Praying everything will calm down, and that you’ll be blessed with something wonderful.
