Well it’s late, dinner’s already been eaten, kitchen cleaned, and we are sitting around relaxing with full bellies. It was quite a busy, productive weekend . . . work around the house, yardwork, housework. And yet there is more, so much more to be done! It never really ends, does it?
Monday: BLT’s, which were tasty and enjoyed by all most. (We also got into a discussion of semantics and naming of dishes. The oldest calf wondered why a sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise was only called a BLT and not a BLTM. The Bull was quick to point out that the bread was not represented in the name and the sandwich should maybe be called BLTMB, except that it uses two slices of bread so should it be called BBLTMB? Calf #1 wondered what this could called if there were six pieces of lettuce on the sandwich. . . yup, you guessed it, BBLLLLLLTMB. But that’s way more than you wanted to know, I’m sure!)
Tuesday: Grilled moose steaks with grilled taters and grilled corn on the cob. (Which is kinda like a day off for me, since The Bull is The Grill Guy here.)
Wednesday: Dinner @ church.
Thursday: Garlic pasta with garden veggies.
Friday, Kids’ night: Breakfast for dinner! Eggs, German pancakes (aka oven waffle; yup, we had this one last week and it went over quite well. Repeated by request!)
Saturday: Beans and corn dish. (Recipe here, about halfway down the page.)
Sunday: Potato stroganoff with moose meat. Random veggies Fresh garden veggies! Yup, carried over from last week.
