BPS: Mardi Gras Babies

We’re a little far from all the festivities and fun of Mardi Gras.  I hear it’s great fun!  But we don’t do it here and quite honestly, I don’t know what all it entails except for the beads.

Several years ago, when firstborn Calf was 18 months old, we had a 16 year old girl staying with us.  She thought he was really cute.  He really looked up to her too.  She started this thing with him

that we thought was adorable and continued with the other boy calf.

(Sadly, our camera was on the fritz at this time, so if you mentally combine the past two pics you’ll get the idea!)

And now our little girl is the latest mooselet to carry on this tradition

beads3which our 16 year old friend called “bling.”

(This picture was too cute not to put in here.  I don’t think Mardi Gras uses cucumbers, but hey.  It’s ok.)

Happy Sunday everybody! Click on the button above to go to Debi’s place and see more baby pictures today.

What a cute interpretation of mardi Gras!
We really only celebrate in a sense that mardi Gras is just another name from Shrove Tuesday (or Fat Tuesday). We celebrate by over eating lots of fatty foods and just really celebrate the beging of what i consider the most sacred of times of the year for Christians 🙂

Thanks so much for playing along each week 🙂
